The match that carries lots of values to the fans lacks proper attention from ANFA as All Nepal Football Association has been behind in the management.

ANFA-380x380

India is taking on Nepal on 19th November, exactly on the Election Day in Nepal.  The match was confirmed about month before the match date; however the National team has not trained even a single day with complete squad.

The National team players have been busy in club duties, first in Safal club, followed by Sikkim Governer’s gold cup, which has not given appropriate time for Nepal National team members to train together, of course will affect the team coordination. The last time team trained together was only in SAFF Championship which concluded two months back followed by festival break.

The team India, in the other hand has been training together for almost two weeks now while the host will takes on Philippines on Friday. The sorry fact is that coach Jack Stefanowski who should have been in Silguri today to analyze the opponents is currently with seven isolated players that are not in their club’s bound.

Although the club championship remains important to the clubs that have invested millions, ANFA could have taken the remaining players in Sikkim and trained there together. The only time all the players may get together will be in 18th, given that National team will leave Nepal in the 17th.

Meanwhile Manang defeating Royal Wahingdoh proceeds to the semis and the semis date coincides with National team match. Manag has currently five players in the team and it remains unclear how the club and team management copes.

Also Three Star has semifinals on 18th, the day before friendly clash with India, which makes it even more challenging for the players to play and then travel and play. Three Star club has most number of players in the National team.

The fans have high expectations with the team but a harsh fact, the team must not be blamed on under performance, ANFA must be.
